Clover Support Group: Passionate, Personalised Care
Posted on July 3rd, 2025 in Harlow Business Case Study
For over six years, Clover Support Group has been steadily growing into one of West Essex’s leading care agencies. Based at the Latton Bush Centre in Harlow, the organisation was founded by Angela Bediako, a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in the care industry. Angela’s journey began in hands-on personal care and evolved through various roles, including community liaison and consultancy.
In 2016, Angela took a career break and began offering freelance consultancy to individuals looking to start their own care businesses. This experience inspired her to launch her own venture in 2018—one that would prioritise individual needs over a one-size-fits-all approach.

Starting with a few private clients, Clover Support Group quickly expanded. Today, the team supports over 160 individuals across West Essex, including areas such as Harlow, Braintree, Saffron Walden, Bishop’s Stortford, Ongar, and Nazeing. At the heart of Clover’s mission are four core values: trust, dignity, choice, and compassion. These principles guide every aspect of the organisation—from staff training to client interactions.
“Our staff are among the most highly trained in the industry. We foster a culture of continuous learning because knowledge is power,” Angela explained. “We focus on the person, not the label. For example, one of our clients loves football, so we’re planning to take them to a match. It’s about enabling joy.”
Clover’s approach is centred on individualised care. Rather than focusing solely on medical conditions, the team works to understand each client’s personality, preferences, and goals. This includes positive risk-taking—encouraging clients to continue enjoying life, whether that means going swimming or attending social events.

In an exciting new chapter, Clover Support Group have been approved by Essex County Council to commence a supported living provision in Harlow and the wider Essex area. Set to launch within the next six months, the homes Clover will provide will typically accommodate three individuals in a calm, homely environment, offering round-the-clock support tailored to their needs.
Clover Support Group welcomes private clients via their website or through the Home Care portal. They also work with Essex County Council, providing both short-term and long-term care solutions. Regardless of how clients come to Clover, the focus remains the same: personalised, compassionate care.
As the organisation continues to grow, Clover is eager to collaborate with local businesses—from estate agents and property developers to medical suppliers. They are also actively recruiting passionate, dedicated individuals to join their expanding team.
