Redchurch: Live Events & Taproom ♬

Posted on November 14th, 2024 in Harlow Business Case Study

For several years Redchurch has been a well-known name across Harlow, producing popular craft beer at their local brewery. The team run a small but efficient brewery within their site at Mead Park, creating a diverse range of high-quality beers which are loved locally and nationwide. Whether it’s a range of hoppy ales, classic lager or new and limited-edition beers, the team brews all year round and experiments with different styles, strengths and flavors.

Beyond crafting exceptional beer, Redchurch has expanded its offerings to include a calendar of events. The brewery’s taproom is open every Saturday, where guests can enjoy draft and bottled beers, cider, spirits, and soft drinks. Weekly events bring the space to life, with lively comedy nights and DJ sessions drawing in locals. We asked the team about their expanding series of events and parties, they said:

“We host a calendar of regular events in the taproom, including the monthly Redchurch Comedy night (which happens on the first Thursday of each month) and we are just about to launch a new monthly DJ night called ‘Ceremony’ (the first night is booked in for Fri Nov 15th).”

For anyone who has visited Rechurch before you would have been greeted by a quirky space, mixed with silos and brewing equipment but also a welcoming taproom and bar. During our chat with the team, we also discovered that they hire out the taproom for private functions, with prices starting from £250. The space is diverse with a taproom, seating area and large outdoor space. Meaning they can accommodate gigs, parties, screenings and wedding celebrations all with a magnificent backdrop and fantastic acoustics. The team are very proud of their events and told us a bit about their current activities:

“Annually we host the Harlow Food & Drink festival and Oktoberfest celebrations, both very popular. We also run brewery tours once a month (on a Saturday from 1.30pm), for only £23.99 per person, which includes sampling lots of our tasty beers! The tour provides an in-depth look at the brewing techniques and includes a variety of beer samples, making it a must-visit for local craft beer enthusiasts.”

Redchurch’s events have proven to be highly popular, strengthening its connection to the Harlow community. Whilst being located at Mead Park Industrial Estate, the brewery enjoys lots of repeat visitors. This setup allows Redchurch to connect with customers beyond online sales, building a loyal local following and creating a space for people to gather, relax, and enjoy great beer.

Harlow has proven to be a great choice for Redchurch not only because of the community spirit but also for logistical advantages. Its proximity to major rail and road networks supports the brewery’s ability to reach customers quickly and efficiently across the Southeast.

Looking to the future, Redchurch plans to expand its distribution, with a particular focus on the lager market. But importantly not forgetting about their Harlow based Hub, continuing to welcome their local customers to regular events. And hopefully welcome new visitors to experience the taproom, enjoy live music and entertainment.
