Based at the Harlow Enterprise Hub NWES provide free Business Support, training and networking. Online and in person business advice is available to pre-start-up and established businesses on a range of core business topics such as producing business plans, negotiating a lease and taking on staff. Backing Essex Business

They help small-to-medium-sized businesses to grow, providing 12 hours of free professional advice on finance, marketing, and recruitment.

Business Support Service
The Business Support Service (formerly the Business Support Helpline) is a FREE, virtual, multi-channel advice and guidance service, operating across England. We form a key element of the UK Government’s business support provision, working on behalf of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).

The government has launched the UK Business Climate Hub to provide green support for SMEs.

NatWest Business Pitch Competition
Pitch your business and you could win a share of £1m
For 10 years, NatWest Accelerator has been helping businesses get going and get growing. To celebrate this milestone, they’re launching NatWest Accelerator Pitch with a total prize pot of £1m to be given out over a series of competitions throughout 2025 and beyond. To enter, send a 60-second video explaining how the funding will grow your business. Judges will select five finalists to attend a first live final in Manchester on 31 July, with a second edition of the competition in London later in 2025.
Green Entrepreneurs
Green Entrepreneurs is a fully funded nine-week programme for:
- those who have an idea for a green business, but have not yet launched it
- green businesses that are under two years old
At the end of the programme, each entrepreneur will have the opportunity to pitch to a panel of business judges. The winner will receive £5,000 in seed funding. Two runners-up will receive £2,500 each.

Are you a heating engineer? or run a heating business?
If you’re a heating engineer, a sole trader, unemployed or employ less than 250 people you could receive a discount of up to £500 towards the cost of heat pump training. Plus additional support and advice when installing a heat pump for the first time.
EV Charging Point Grant
Grants for electric vehicle charging hardware are available to businesses and offer up to £350 off the purchase and installation of an electric vehicle charge point, up to a total of 40 sockets.
